I was inspired to read more about the housing crisis after a lively discussion with my friends Reign & Arthurian about the pitfalls of homeownership & mortgage, & how it feels more like a trap than an investment for the future. I'm only 39 pages in but I am so hooked. This book reads more like a thriller and the pacing isn't too bad. I also love how it tells the deeply personal story of the victims of the housing crisis, because it's important to know that there are real people who suffered at the hands of these greedy disaster profiteers. Honestly, they should teach kids things like this in school. Financial literacy is so important for the challenges we will face later on in life. I mean, how often will you actually need to calculate the hypotenuse outside of maths class compare to mortgage repayments?
